The third installment in Mark Terry’s trilogy of polar documentaries focuses on the impacts climate change is having on the island nation of Iceland. Touching the Arctic Circle at its north end, changes to Iceland’s glaciers, land, flora, fauna, economy, and people are examined in this documentary film. Recent volcanic eruptions at Mount Fagradalsfjall are featured.

Interviews with climate scientists and researchers, marine biologists, tourism industry experts, and even the Prime Minister of Iceland herself, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, are presented alongside striking footage of Iceland’s natural beauty with an original score by award-winning film composer Russell Walker.

Decorated polar explorer Mark Terry, a professor of environmental studies at York University in Toronto, completes his trilogy of documentary films revealing the impacts of climate change on the Arctic and Antarctica. His previous two films were The Antarctica Challenge: A Global Warning and The Polar Explorer.
