Welcome to VIMooZ Cinema, the self distribution platform for filmmakers with independent films, documentary and foreign films.
Be seen on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and more.
We invite independent filmmaker(s), who are self-distributing their films, to add their feature length films (minimum of 55 minutes) in any genre and earn (really generous) revenue.
Filmmakers are also encouraged to sell any tie-in additional related products including DVDs and merchandise to leverage interest in their film.
You can make money on your film(s) in multiple ways:
- TVOD (Transactional video on demand) – Sell each film individually – the viewer pays a one-time fee to view your content, and may watch on demand for a specified time limit (2 days/48 hours). You will receive 80% of the gross fees.
- SVOD (Subscription Video On Demand) – Publish a channel of film content and charge a recurring monthly subscription fee. You will receive 80% of the gross fees.
- AVOD (Advertising-based Video on Demand)* – Free for viewers to watch and you earn advertising revenue – Advertisements are integrated into the viewing experience, appearing before, during, and after the video content. (*not yet available for submissions)
- Virtual Cinema – (similar to TVOD) You set a specific time(s) when viewers can watch your film (similar to movie theatre times format); film will start at that specific time and will otherwise not be available for viewing. You will receive 80% of the gross fees.
- DVD
- Hybrid – Yes, you can have some films TVOD / DVD / SVOD (you will be required to create a separate profile for SVOD content). You will receive 90% of the gross fees.
- Merchandise – You may sell any kind merchandise related to your film including t-shirts, posters etc. You will receive 90% of the gross fees.
You can make money on your film(s) in multiple ways:
- Film listing – Your film receives a complete film profile with *trailer. (All film listings must include a trailer)
- Filmmaker page profile: You receive a page profile displaying all of your content.
- Viewing – Films are viewable on all formats including desktop, mobile and TV apps including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV.
- Price – Set your own price. For TVOD, all films are priced for 48 hour viewing.
- Non-exclusive – You are free to pause, remove your film/content at any time, however this may affect your eligibility for awards and prizes.
- Subtitles: Non-English language Films (the original version of the film is in a language other than English) must also provide subtitles in a simple TXT file with extension .vtt. You may also add subtitles in multiple languages, also provided as a TXT file with extension .vtt.
- Community: Films are eligible to compete for our soon to be launched annual Jury Awards and/or Audience Awards with cash prizes.
