]]> Exhausted by his work and the routine, a person decides to suddenly break his daily life and wander in unknown places, in which he gradually sinks and gets lost.

With a protagonist never appearing on screen, the film relies on a minimalist, unsettling and contemplative aesthetic. It features immersive, ominous, mysterious sound design and invites to multiple interpretations. The atmosphere becomes increasingly oppressive, immersing the viewer in a pervasive sense of tension, a visual and existential unease. “Essai 21” can be likened to a hypnotic, introspective and unsettling experience.

Sirota, and adapted for film from his long-running and successful Off-Broadway musical. It is a sweeping romantic musical about the human need for love and companionship.

Victor Frankenstein seeks to end human mortality and arrogantly enters territory beyond his control. While he enjoys unconditional love from Elizabeth, he grants none to his creation.
